Lauri Ylönen will be present at PMMP Special gig at Gloria
PMMP wil have a special concert at Gloria on 9.2.2010 with a couple special guest. One of them is Lauri Ylönen, the singer of The Rasmus!
Who will also sing together with PMMP some live songs!
The concert at Gloria, is supported by Amnesty Finland, Human Rights section, and is organized by YleX, TV2, Gloria Cultural Arena and Amnesty Finland Association.

Technic problems

Hello everyone,
We heard from some people already that they are missing some items on the website. Like the newsletters, updates from the gallery and more…

We are very sorry because of this, but because a few computers are broke, we can't fix this problem in a short time. This will take a couple of weeks before
we can solve the problem. We miss the documents en programs we work with to do this all for you guys.

Well the computers are brought into the shop to be made and we hope these problems get fixed very soon. Then you will be fully updated again!

We will try to keep the main things updated and we also started to work onto a online back up system so this
problem hopefuly can't happen anymore!

We are still very sorry for this and wish you all a happy day and We hope we will see you all back at the website!

Peninsula Festival 2010 in Romanie

New Myspace Blog: We opened our facebook site...

Hello everyone!
I hope the spring is treating you all up here well, and that in the southern hemisphere the autumn is not too cold for you guys there.. We are back in the studio now, we had a practice today for the upcoming summer concerts. We'll soon be back to recording in the studio, and i decided that i want to keep you all posted.. So we opened a facebook account to where i can send photos easily. Please have patience with us, as we are known to be not so fast and grand in all things internet. But anyways my goal is to send a pic a day, sometimes it's not from studio or even not something connected with the band, but i promise at least i try to send a pic a day and one line of comment.

At the latest gig at Peninsula there were 15.000 fans, and this year they would like to have more. And the new album is going to be done as well.
The 16 years on the road The Rasmus celebrated with style their anniversary last year with a released album at the end of the year which contained hits born after 2001. And they had where to chose from: the Finnish guys have changed a lot of times the charts of the continent. In 2006 there were 15.000 people singing In The Shadows with them at the Peninsula. For this year they have higher expectations. After the band has met with their fans we had a small chat with them.

What are your expectations of this gig?
The last time the Peninsula gig was one of the best gigs of the summer, but this time we would like to be better, we have very high expectations. And i would love to find that fan that has stolen my sunglasses, this year i would like to get it back. We always had great gigs in Romania, so we would like to come back very much.

How do you like the Peninsula festival?
We already met a few of our fans, who were very sympatic. We like the romanian people because they are honest. You can see on one’s face what do they think, do they like you or not. Finnish are similar, except you can’t read anything from their faces, but they say very openly their opinion.

What about the new album?
We are working on it, we are everyday in our studio in Helsinki. We wouldn’t like to reveal too much about it, it will be a bit different than the previous ones, hopefully will be ready by spring.

Will we hear some new song tonight?
From the new album no, but we’ll play all historical songs from the previous ones.

What does the tattoo on your arm mean?
It’s the symbol of the Dynasty Recordings, two of us has the same tattoo: it’s the name of a brand that can easily be recognized by the others as well.

Your style gets older together with the fans, or you’re trying to get in touch with the youth as well?
We have fans that are loyal for years long, and we are very happy about them. When making the new album we tried to pay attention what the fans want and what feedback we had gotten. This way we are trying to make something new with this album. I think everyone will be very surprised when it will be released, maybe we too.

What do you think about free music download?
I don’t really know how does it all work, but i think it’s useful that you can listen to any song easily. YouTube is like that, isn’t it? I’m more like old-fashioned, i like to listen to music from disk.

What gigs would you visit from the program of this Peninsula?
Europe, we would love to meet with them. And Korn would also be interesting. But unfortunately none of them will be tonight and we have to go further. Maybe we would watch Gorillaz, would have a chance for that cause they play tonight.

The reason behind the guys being so quiet on Facebook is that their page is blocked because of publishing rights. L



The guy have posted a comment on their page to let us all know about this problem and tried already to get it unblocked but sadly still no result!

Again thanks to the Ghost of Love wordpress we can share a lovely interview that the guys gave after they arrived to Luxembourg for the last gig of the summer, Lauri and Aki gave an interview to the local newspaper called L’Essentiel. We are in the same situation like 15 years ago.


L’essentiel: Les Terres Rouges are one of the few festivals where you have played this summer. What have you done in the last months?
Aki: We love summer festivals, but we have participated in only a few ones this year. We wanted to focus on our new album. Most of the time we were in the studio this summer. We have recorded new songs for our fans.


L’essentiel: You record your next album without producer. Why?
Lauri: We feel that it’s better. We have our own studio in Helsinki. It is a great challenge because we are in the same situation like 15 years ago, when we started.


L’essentiel: You have no record company…
Lauri: No, the contract is over. We are looking for another label. We have several songs that are ready. If we find a label soon, the album will come out in spring.



L’essentiel: Can you please share some details already?

Lauri: The album is more electronic than the previous one. We have also worked on the lyrics. There will be more topics that invite our fans to think. A song was born after my meeting with a taxi driver in Singapore for example. I told him I was a Finnish musician. And he envied the freedom of speech that exists among us. I never thought about that before. He spoke of Singapore, has compared him to a beautiful bird locked in a gilded cage who needs for freedom. He asked me to write a song about the situation in Singapore, which I did.

THE RASMUS @ TERRES ROUGES FESTIVAL 2010 [Lux]

Hello all out there!

This time we have something special to share with you: We had our first little meeting!!!
Wepke, Bianca and Vanessa met the first time on 5th September 2010 in Luxemburg at the Terres Rouges festival, of course to enjoy a Rasmus gig all together!!!
It was a nice meeting, although it was without Suzanne , but we also met some members of from our Fanclub








Of course we used the situation to get some attention for the Fanclub of the guys so we had a little teddybear in our backpack and threw it on stage
And after the second try Lauri got it and it looks like he liked it

All in all it was just an amazing festival!!!!
The guys told that this was the last gig this summer and now they work on their album to release it during the next spring
